MID 1008: Nursing Skills II

Learning Outcomes:
At the end of the course students are able to:
1. Explain the principles of oxygen therapy, bandaging, nutrition, elimination, collection of
specimen, surgical procedure, medication and management of deceased patients. (C2)
2. Explain the nursing responsibilities before, during and after performing nursing procedures.
(C3)
3. Show the nursing procedures according to principles. (P1)
Course Synopsis:
This course covers medical and surgical nursing procedures. It also includes topics such as fulfilling
elimination needs, specimen collection, intravenous therapy, blood transfusion and management of
deceased patients.
