This book chronicles Universiti Malaya’s ten-year
partnership with the Asian Students Environmental
Platform (ASEP), highlighting its role in advancing
environmental sustainability across Asia. From 2014 to
2023, Universiti Malaya engaged students and academic
leaders in numerous projects, driving impactful
initiatives in key areas such as biodiversity conservation,
climate change mitigation, plastic waste reduction, clean
water management, and renewable energy adoption.
Each chapter captures the essence of the projects
undertaken by Universiti Malaya’s students and faculty,
featuring case studies that exemplify the practical
application of environmental knowledge. From
reforestation efforts in Southeast Asia to promoting
circular economy principles in urban areas, the e-book
reflects on the university’s commitment to sustainability
through research, education, and community
engagement. It is hoped that this effort will inspire
future works and renewed efforts in advancing
environmental awareness and sustainable practices
through the collective leadership of universities and
young environmentalists across Asia.
