               mesoscale,  atomistic  and  quantum  methods  are  used  to  study
               fundamental and applied problem in materials science. Examples drawn
               from  the  multi-disciplines  are  used  to  understand  or  characterize
               complex  structures  of  materials  and  complement  experimental
               observations.
