Synopsis of Course Contents The aim of this course is to increase student’s knowledge
and application ability based on understanding on the role
and conduct of quantitative, qualitative, and mixed
methods research in planning. The course enhances
students’ skills in reviewing and choosing
methodologically sound research based on reliable
sources. Students develop the skills to recognise and
reflect on the strengths and limitations of different
research methodologies, understand the links between
theory and practice, critically assess research, and address
ethical issues. How to manage and analyse data, and how
to write up and present findings are core components of
                                                  this course.
Course Learning Outcomes (1) Formulate problem statements, research questions,
aims and objectives in a research proposal.

                                                  (2) Design appropriate research methodologies to be used
for research in respective research fields.
                                                  (3) Compose critical analysis of the literature review based

                                                      research fields.
