          This fellowship programme is a strategic initiative to empower AUNalumni through impactful research,
          leadership development, and inclusive advocacy. It aims to strengthen the employability, leadership capacity, and

          professional growth of PWDs while contributing to inclusive policy development in the ASEAN region.

          In 2025, AUNDPPnet proposed a partnership with the Centre for Inclusive Policy (CIP), a U.S.profit
                                                                                   based non
          organisation dedicated to advancing disability inclusion through research and evidencebased policy. This
                                                                                 -
          collaboration will support outstanding AUNDPPnet alumni who demonstrate strong leadership and a commitment to
                                         -
          creating social impact through innovative research.


          Through this initiative, selected alumni will receive mentorship and technical guidance from CIP experts to develop
          high quality research proposals addressing key issues related to PWD employability and empowerment. The
          programme focuses on producing actionable outcomes such as policy papers, copyrights, and human capital
          development strategies, contributing directly to community wellbeing and inclusive practices.

          A key feature of the programme is a oneyear research internship, where alumni will work closely with CIP mentors to

          implement their projects. This experience offers exposure to international best practices, enhances research and
          analytical skills, and expands professional networks within the global disability and policy community.


          By combining capacity building, mentorship, and applied research, the fellowship ensures participants gain both
          academic and leadership skills to influence meaningful change. Ultimately, the AUNDPPnet Alumni Leadership
