Ms. NURUL AZWA BINTI MOHD YUNUS

                   Research and Development Scientist

Why did you choose this programme?

Biotechnology was on the rise and piqued my interest. The
multiple biological fields covered by the Biotechnology courses I
took in Universiti Malaya opened doors for me career-wise. I was
interested in Research & Development and have been working in
       the field ever since.

The subject Bioprocess I did during undergrad and post grad had
given me the opportunity i. to undergo 2 months training in
KRIBB, South Korea ii. to present in an international conference

I love the fact that the course covered multiple fields so I was
exposed to more knowledge and explored options on where to
       specialised in.

                  Mr. AHMAD FARIQ YOSMAN

                              Graphic Designer

Why did you choose this programme?

Coming from a family whose parents are in the academic field,
pursuing Science has been a no-brainer since primary school. My
strongest suit was also Biology as opposed to Physics or
Chemistry. After doing some research on the classes UM offers, I
found that the Biotech program intrigued me the most, and I
       never looked back.
Even though my current role isn’t in the same field, I still
incorporate all the skills I’ve learned during my undergrad
studies. For example, Scientific research and writing have
allowed me to carry out my tasks/assignments more
methodically. Additionally, lecturers and student board members
of the program have worked hard in conducting additional
lectures, seminars, events, as well as gatherings.

These events helped improve my social interaction skills and allowed me to get a sneak peek at how life after
graduation could be like. Program classes, surely. Not only that I found all lecturers were well-equipped with their
individual teaching materials, but they were also willing to go the extra mile to help students. Having fun is
noteworthy. I expected to be constantly stressed out with class assignments or projects but with the way the
program schedules were laid out and how much group projects were given; I had a lot of fun and made a lot of
       lasting friends along the way
