During my internship module, I learnedhow to
communicate and build relationshipswith my
colleagues and learnt that every companyor
organization has its own culture. Idiscovered that it
is essential to be enthusiastic and be open to
learning new skills, not be complacent with work
and being curiousto learn and ask questions.

The internship module at Universiti Malaya allowed me to have an overview of
variety of career options in this field. It also gave me a clear view on how industries
operate especially in the healthcare industry. The industrial experience during my
internship helped me to adapt in a healthcare company when I started working after
graduation

I have learned how to communicate with
colleagues and to build good network with others
outside of the company. This also helped me to
have insight on other careers within the industry. I
have been exposed to research workflow; from
identifying and solving problems to executing the
research project and to share my findings and
ideas in scientific conferences.

Making mistakes and learning from them enhanced my enthusiasm in improving
my lab skills as well as problem-solving skills. Modules learnt during lectures and
practical allowed me to be ready for internship. Lastly, the experiences gained
during the internship period helped me to cope with working environment as well
as adapting with employers in my current role.
