Why did you choose this programme?
Growing up as a kid, I was always intrigued
by the power of a magnifying glass, it could
make tiny things such as ants look big. In
high school, I was introduced to the
microscope, and it led me to discover the
microbial world which cannot be seen with
our naked eye. It was really fascinating, and
it helped me to understand that Executive at Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
microbiology will be one of the key elements Bangladesh
for us to shape the new era of science in our
developing world. Hence, when the
opportunity came, I seized it and pursued
my degree at Universiti Malaya.
In the pharmaceutical industry,
microbiologists play a vital role to ensure
the quality of the sterile and non-sterile
pharmaceutical products as well as medical
devices. So having a B.Sc. degree in
Microbiology helped me secure a job in
pharmaceutical industry.
One-year long thesis project on isolation and
characterization of airborne microbes was
the highlight of the programme as it made
me realize the importance of research work
which leads to understanding anything very
accurately and specifically.
