Why did you choose this programme?

I chose to enter this programme because
my interest was in teaching. When I found
out about this programme, I was so happy
because here is a programme that will
prepare and help me realise my dream to
be a teacher.

The programme provided me with a strong
foundation in mathematics and science

content knowledge from the various
Senior Lecturer courses I took at the Faculty of Science.
Department of Mathematics & Science Education The art of teaching and foundations of
Faculty of Education, Universiti Malaya education I gained from attending the
Deputy Dean of Undergraduate Faculty of Education courses. I remember
Faculty of Education how my assignments required me to be

creative and challenged my thinking. I
learnt what it means to be a good teacher,
the various approaches to teaching and
learning and the importance of
understanding your students.

For me, the highlight of the programme is
the opportunity to be a student at 2
different faculties at the same time. This
programme helped shape and prepare me
with the necessary knowledge, skills and
mindset needed to be the educator I am
today.
