Book Launching Ceremony
‘They Came from Jaffna’
In attendance were the parents of Raja Permaisuri of
Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim, Pro-Chancellors, Toh Puan
Dato' Seri Hajjah Dr. Aishah Ong and Tan Sri Dato' Seri
Diraja Ramli Ngah Talib, Chairman of the Board of
Directors, Tan Sri Zarina Anwar, Vice-Chancellor, Professor
Dato' Ir. Dr. Mohd Hamdi Abd Shukor, representative of the
Sri Lanka Endowment Fund, and the Dean. The launch
was attended by more than 400 guests including
members of the diplomatic corps, deans and
distinguished members of the public, especially members
of the Jaffna community.
The book is a record of recipes and history of the Jaffna

On 25August 2022, a book launching ceremony was held
at the Dewan Tunku Canselor, to launch the book, entitled, The book was sold at RM300 and all proceeds from the
They Came from Jaffna. The book, written by Mrs Indra sales are donated to the Sri Lankan Endowment Fund. The

Leadership and SAPT Workshop
On 19-21 August 2022, the Faculty held a Leadership and
SAPT workshop at the Pulse Grande Hotel in Putrajaya.
The workshop was organised to strengthen leadership
quality of the faculty. Conscious of the increasing
occasions of leadership change, especially Head of
Departments, the workshop was held to ensure smooth
succession and operation even with leadership change.
The academics playing and competing during teambuilding games
The workshop was also meant to keep the faculty’s leaders
to be aligned to the goals and strategies of the University
and Faculty. In addition to serving Heads and Director of
Institute, the workshop also involved Deputy Heads and
future leaders. The Dean and his deputies and the
Administrative Manager were facilitators at the workshop.
The three days programme also involve team building
activities and fellowship. The workshop also spent some
time discussing the proposed new SAPT and came up with
suggestions representing interests of the Faculty. The programme ended in a happy note
