Candidature Requirements

1. pass at least 3 credits of Research Methodology Course not later or;

than the second (2nd) semester of candidature;

2. fulfil attendance requirements for the University Bahasa Malaysia at least two (2) publication in Category A or B refereed journals, or book
chapters as follows:

5. present your research progress at Candidature Defence not later journals must be listed and recognized by the Faculty)

than the fifth (5th) semester of candidature;

6. present your research progress at Thesis Seminar before the Book chapters in different books:

submission of thesis for examination; Book chapters published by publishers listed in the Thomson Reuters

7. show proof of acceptance for publication as per the following Web of Science (WoS) Master Book List, or by Universiti Malaya Press

(according to the criteria set in the publication guidelines), prior to or Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka or any publishers listed and

graduation: recognised by the Faculty. Two (2) book chapters in different books
are equivalent to one (1) publication;

at least two (2) articles in journals indexed by Thomson Reuters 8. fulfil the residential requirement for at least one (1) semester.

Web of Science (WoS) or;

Graduate on Time (Schedule)

at least two (2) book published by publishers listed in the

Thomson Reuters Web of Science (WoS) Master Book List or by 7 Semesters / 42 months

Universiti Malaya Press or Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka or any

publishers recognised by the Faculty; 39
