3 | Introduction

3.1 THE CENTRE FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

The Centre for Information Technology (PTM) is divided into the following sections:

 Network Division (BR)
 Data Centre Management Division (BPPD)
 Client Services Division (BPP)
 Portal Enterprise Division (BPE)
 Administrative Information Systems Division (BSMP)
 Student Information Systems Division (BITMAP)
 Security, Audit and Training Division (BKAL)
 Multimedia Division (BMM)
 Administrative Office (PP)

3.2 ROLE AND FUNCTION

 To support the UM core services, that is, research, innovation, publication and teaching.
 To shape the ICT strategy and monitor the formation of cyber campus.
 To implement the UM ICT policy.
 To prepare ICT services and campus infrastructure.
 To provide ICT training and awareness activities for the UM community and the public.
 To develop and implement a computerised system.
