                 Course Learning                At the end of this course, students are able to:
                 Outcomes*                      (1) use  the  theoretical  and  conceptual  tools  on  the
                                                    processes of regionalisation. (A5)
                                                (2) examine  current  processes  and  practices  associated
                                                    with  regional  integration,  the  structural  context  in
                                                    which these  take place and their political, economic
                                                    and social consequences. (C4)

                 Synopsis of Course             This  course  introduces  the  students  to  theories  and
                 Contents                       approaches to regionalisation/regionalism, as well as the
                                                systematic  approach  to  structures  and  dynamics  of
                                                regionalisation  models.  It  also  gives  a  comparative
                                                overview     of    different    regionalisation    processes
                                                (North/Latin America and Europe, and Asia-Pacific) with
                                                particular  focus  on  their  historical  developments,
                                                dynamics,  and  architecture,  and  explore  experiences  of
                                                non-Asian  regions  for  Asia-Pacific  regionalisation,
                                                particularly  ASEAN,  in  the  fields  of  economics,  politics,
                                                security, and culture.
