GIG1006 Introduction to Malaysia This course will explain the history of Malaya and English
the formation of Malaysia. It will also discuss the
(2 Credit) Group MPU: U1 administrative structure and system of the Continuous
government guided by the Constitution of Malaysia. Assessment:70%
Students will learn the culture and values of Final Examination:30%
Note : Offer to International different ethnic groups, and their shared vision for a
students only united and integrated Malaysian nation.

GLT1017 Basic Malay Language This course emphasises mastering basic skills in Malay
Malay for international students enrolled in the
(2 Credit) Group MPU: U1 undergraduate study programmes. The course Continuous
includes four skills, which are pronunciation and Assessment: 60%
speaking; listening, reading and writing in Malay for Final Examination: 40%
Note : Offer to International basic communication. Emphasis is given to oral and
students only written exercises.
