               GIG1001             Islamic Civilization and      This  course  discusses  civilizational  knowledge  Malay

                                                                 to provide an understanding for each of the above
                                                                 elements  and  its  implications  towards  the
                                                                 developmental  process  of  the  country.  In  addition,
                                                                 the  discussions  and  debates  carried  out  in  this
                                                                 course  will  also  produce  students  who  know  the
                                                                 history  of  the  country's  heritage,  cultivate  noble
                                                                 values, national identity and appreciate diversity.


               GIG1002             Ethnic Relations              This  course  discusses  the  basic  concepts,  Malay
                                                                 backgrounds  and  social  realities  of  today's  ethnic
               (2 Credit)                                        relations in Malaysia from the perspective of social  Continuous

                                                                 course, students are expected to be able to practice
                                                                 noble  values,  have  national  identity  and  accept
                                                                 ethnic socio-cultural diversity in Malaysia.
