Teori Nahu dan Balaghah / Grammatical and Rhetorical Theory

Kursus ini memperkenalkan sejarah dan perkembangan ilmu nahu dan balaghah
Arab dalam pelbagai era. Penekanan diberikan kepada penghuraian aliran nahu
seperti aliran Basrah dan Kufah, begitu juga dengan aliran balaghah Arab. Turut
dibincangkan ialah sumber rujukan ilmu nahu dan balaghah Arab yang dihasilkan
oleh tokoh nahu dan balaghah Arab pada pelbagai peringkat.
This course introduces the history and the development of Arabic grammar and
rhetoric in various areas. Emphasis is given to the elaboration of grammatical
schools such as Basra and Kufa, as well as the school of Arab rhetoric. It also
discusses the grammatical and rhetorical sources and references produced by
grammatical and rhetorical scholars in Arabic on various levels.

Kursus ini membincangkan konsep semantik, skop perbincangannya dan peranan
sarjana linguistik Arab dalam bidang semantik. Penekanan akan diberikan kepada
unsur-unsur semantik seperti homonim dan sinonim. Pelajar juga akan didedahkan
tentang teori semantik moden dan pertalian antara penterjemahan dengan kajian
semantik.
This course discusses clarify the concept of semantics and scope of its discussions
and the role of scholars in the semantic field. Emphasis will be given to the semantic
elements such as homonym and synonyms. Students will also be exposed about the
modern theories of semantic and its relationship between the translation study of
semantics.
