MIC2027: Human Pathology (Core: 4 Credit hours)
Learning Outcomes
1. Describe basic concepts and theories in the field of pathology.
2. Demonstrate skills in detecting pathological changes/ morphology with a microscope.
3. Use digital resources and technology effectively to acquire or deliver correct pathological
information.
Course Synopsis
This course introduces the basic principles and systemic pathological processes such as cellular
responses to injury, inflammation, healing and repair, disorders of body fluids, homeostasis and
blood flow, disorders of growth, neoplasia, disorders of the immune system, organ system
pathology, relevant structural changes associated with respective pathological conditions.
