Learning Outcomes:
At the end of the course students are able to:
1. Implement individualised plan of care to meet the health needs of patients with emergency
conditions, critical condition and patients requiring operations. (P2)
2. Perform nurisng procedures to the patients in emergency unit, intensive care units and oper
ation
theatre. (P2)
3. Practice collaborative nursing to deliver a safe and effective patient-centred care. (A2)
Course Synopsis:
This course involved placement in the operation theatre, Intensive Care Unit and Trauma and
Emergency Unit for 6 weeks. It is alos provides the opportunity for students to practice specialised
nursing skills related to clinical areas.
