A charge of RM200.00 will be imposed on:

(i) Candidate who register after the second week of the Semester (for
those who is following the coursework programmes including
coursework component of the mixed-mode programmes) ; and

(ii) Candidate who register after the seventh week of the Semester (for
those who is following by research programmes including the
research component in the mixed mode programmes)

Failure to Pay Fees

The consequences of not paying the fees at the stipulated time are as follows:

(1) Candidate will not be allowed to sit for the examination;
(2) Candidate’s candidature will lapse. A fine of RM 300.00 will be imposed in
order to reactivate the candidature;
(3) Candidate are not allowed to renew their candidature for the following
semester;
(4) Candidate’s examination result slip, transcript or graduation scroll will not be
released; or
(5) Candidate will be barred from attending the convocation ceremony.

Financial Assistance

A range of scholarships are available for postgraduate candidate. However, most
of the scholarships are for candidate who is following by research programme
only. Among the scholarships and financial assistance available are:

(1) For Malaysian Candidate Only

• MyMaster & MyPhD (MyBrain 15)
• Fellowship Scheme
• Fee Reduction Scheme for Postgraduate Candidate With Disabilities And
Elderly

(2) For Malaysian and International Candidate

• Graduate Research Assistantship Scheme (GRAS)
• Bright Sparks Scheme University of Malaya
• Postgraduate Research Fund (PPP)

(2) For International Candidate

• International Graduate Research Assistantship Scheme (iGRAS)
• Malaysian International Scholarship (MIS)
• Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP)
