At the end of the course, students are able to:

1 Menunjukkan pemahaman konsep-konsep asas sains politik seperti, kuasa, autoriti negara,
kerajaan, sistem politik dan teori pengasingan kuasa.
Indicate an understanding of basic concepts of political sciences such as power, authority,
nation, government, political system and separation of power.
2 Membezakan pendekatan pengkajian sains politik daripada zaman klasik hingga ke zaman
kontemporari.
Distinguish approaches with regard to the study of political science from the classical to the
contemporary.
3 Menentukan bentuk institusi politik seperti sistem presiden dan parlimen, sistem satu parti
dan lain-lain serta ideologi politik.
Determine the form of political institutions such as the presidential and parliamentary
systems, a one-party system and others also political ideologies

Sinopsis Kandungan Kursus / Synopsis of Course Content

Objektif kursus ini adalah untuk memperkenalkan ilmu sains politik untuk pelajar syariah. Ia bertujuan
mendapatkan gambaran mengenai definisi sains politik; mendapatkan gambaran mengenai isu-isu
negara, kuasa, ideologi politik, teori pengasingan kuasa dan demokrasi.

The objective of this course is to introduce political sciences for students from Shariah background.
It aims to get insight regarding the definition of political sciences; to identify main concepts relating
to state, power, political ideology, theory of separation of power and democracy.
