Why did you choose this programme?

Almost everyone enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in
Statistics programme would definitely gain computer-
literacy skills that are not limited to basic software, but
also in programming and coding. This is not a skill
everyone would excel in, but being in this programme, I
have been trained to master this skill. Apart from the
theoretical syllabus, applications courses provided in
the programme are definitely an advantage to prepare
me for the industry.

All the application courses, especially those with data analysis components, are the
highlights of the programme because they helped to sharpen my critical thinking and
computer and programming skills which are required in the industry. Learning the
syllabus is a must, but not to apply it, is wasteful. Also, making mistakes at this learning
stage is definitely helpful for me to learn from the mistakes to enhance my skills and
efficiency simultaneously. By having these application courses in the Bachelor of
Science in Statistics programme, I can discuss with my peers and have various kinds of
creative ideas to solve problems.
