Why did you cho ose this programme?

I chose BSc in Ecology and Biodiversity because of
my love for beetles. The programme gave me a
good foundation in ecology and taxonomy.
Catching beetles was not as useful to my career
but assembling the most complete collection of
Peninsular Malaysian dung beetles is something I
wish to be remembered for. The highlights of this
program are the field trips especially to
experience and apply the knowledge that was
learnt during classes.

The rainforest. Beetles. Moths. Flies. Marine
worms. Mist shrouded mountains. Skies full of
stars. The damp freshness of composting leaves.
Giant dipterocarp trees. Gaur. Elephants.

Breathing in fresh forest air. Moss. Lichen.
Bioluminescent mushrooms. Tree ferns. The
canopy. A slow loris in a jar of alcohol. Streams of
cool water. Mangroves. Crabs. Boxes of bones and
teeth. Seaweed. Mudflats. Chitons. These are the
unique memories of this programme that I would
cherish forever.
