Short-term Mobility programme: Team AIE to
Chulalongkorn University, Thailand
by Fairus Noor Balqis, 2nd Year, BA International and Strategic Studies
A group of 10 students from the Department of
International and Strategic Studies of the Faculty of Arts
and Social Sciences successfully completed a short-term
mobility programme to Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.
In the span of eight days, from 5th September 2022 to13th
September 2022, the students had an opportunity to learn
from the real world beyond textbooks, through their visits to
the local markets, festivals, museums and temples including
a visit to the famous Wat Arun in Bangkok.
From the street food to the traditional clothes and Tuk tuk
rides, the students delved into the cultural landscape of
Thailand. The visit to Chulalongkorn University was a
treasured experience as the students went to several
university-owned museums and also to Bangkok’s famous
green infrastructure project, the Centenary Park. Since the
University is located in a strategic business area, the
existence of an underground pedestrian walkway and train
stations allowed the students to discover the streets of
Bangkok and experience the local culture independently. The Malaysian students posing in front of Faculty of Economics
