1. Demonstrate correct resistance training techniques and
physical conditioning exercises with an emphasis on the aspect
of safety
2. Evaluate a variety of resistance training and physical
conditioning methods and programmes.
3. Design a strength and conditioning training program that
includes a variety of resistance training exercises
Synopsis This course will mainly be a practical course on advanced
resistance training and conditioning. It will cover all major
techniques and training programmes to optimise muscle
hypertrophy, strength and power development. Specifically,
plyometric training, weightlifting techniques and power optimisation
programs will be included. A safe and systematic approach that are
govern by the training principles will be the main focus of this
course. The course involves practical session which will be
conducted in the laboratory of gymnasium.
