Course Learning Outcomes At the end of the course, the students will
1. Distinguish organizational behaviour theories within sport setting.
2. Apply the theories of organizational behaviour in sport setting.
3. Evaluate the leadership skills and models within the sport industry.
Synopsis of Course Contents This course introduces students to the interactions among individuals in the work group context
within organizations. Factors that affect job performances such as individual motivation and
attitude, role perception and physical work environment will be discussed in detail. The
discussions will refer to current sport issues. At the end of the course, students are expected to
be more concerned with their abilities in understanding, creating and controlling positive
relationships among co-workers in a workplace.

Course Title SPORT POLICY AND GOVERNANCE

Course Learning Outcomes At the end of the course, students are able to:
1. Explain the principles of good governance and its importance in sports organisations.
2. Describe how to manage conflicts in organisations as well as dispute resolution methods
in sports.
3. Apply knowledge learnt into drafting a specific sports policy, based on a given scenario.
Synopsis of Course Contents This course will focus on Sport policies and governance. Organizational structure, roles and
responsibilities of sport administrators will be introduced to students. Students will be guided
in the process of developing sport policies, and its application in different sport arenas.
Second, students will discuss problems related to conflicts, arbitration and mediation in sport
(e.g., organization’s responsibilities and athletes’ right).
