Learning Outcomes At the end of the course, students are able to:
1. Assess athletic nutritional intake for different sports as preparation for training
and competition.
2. Explain nutritional strategies before, during and after training or competition to
enhance athletic performance.
3. Explain special nutrition for athletic population (children, elderly, disable),
athlete with special needs (diabetic, vegetarian), and other nutritional issues.
Synopsis of Course Contents This course is specialized to the principal, background and rational of the nutrition
guidelines especially to athletes with different sports. This course also provides knowledge
on nutritional strategies to enhance performance and nutrition of athletes with certain
populations as well as athletes with special needs. Students will be able to identify athletes
with nutritional disorders and be able to prescribe to return or maintain optimal nutritional
status.

Learning Outcomes At the end of the course, students are able to:
1. Explain theories, concepts and processes in motor learning
2. Differentiate methods of presenting information that can enhance motor learning and
performance
3. Plan practice sessions by manipulating practice conditions in order to facilitate motor
skill acquisition.
Synopsis of Course Contents This course introduces the basic concepts in motor skill learning. It centres on how practice
can lead to new skills being acquired and learnt. Recommendations on how to organise
practice sessions in terms of instruction and feedback, as well as amount and variability
of practice are presented either inside or outside the laboratory.
