IIM2003 ISLAMIC LAW OF INHERITANCE, WILL AND GIFT
This course discusses fundamental aspects of Islamic law of inheritance, will and gift. Its purpose is to
introduce the legal as well as practical aspects of Islamic inheritance, will and gift in general. References
will be done to Hukum Syarak, applicable Islamic law and take into account other written laws which are
also applied in Malaysia.
Course Learning Outcomes
At the end of this course, students are able to:
1. Explain the concept relating to the subject of Faraid, will and gift.
2. Identify applicable laws and relevant bodies and departments which handle the administration of
Muslim inheritance, will and gift in Malaysia.
3. Apply relevant laws and Hukum Syarak to the problems faced by the society
4. Analyze main issues of inheritance.

IIM3002 SHARIAH CRIMINAL LAW
In this course, the students learn about the principle of shariah criminal law and offences. They will be
exposed to categories of crimes, its elements and relevant cases. Detailed elements of shariah criminal
offences and provisions provided under the Shariah Criminal Offences Enactment are studied.
Challenges and limitations of its implementation will also be discussed.
Course Learning Outcomes
At the end of this course, students are able to:
1. Identify the concept and scope of crime according to Islamic law and shariah criminal laws
applicable in Malaysia
2. Compare the function, role and expertise of the shariah enforcement and prosecution agencies
3. Apply their understanding about legal position in current shariah criminal offences issues
4. Interprete the rampancy of shariah criminal cases in Malaysia.
5. Resolve the problems by using legal approach
