1. gEnEral inFOrMatiOn
The Company is a private limited liability company, incorporated and domiciled in Malaysia. The registered office and
principal place of business are as follows:-

Registered office : Level 25, Menara Hong Leong,
No. 6 Jalan Damanlela, Bukit Damansara,
50490 Kuala Lumpur.

Principal place of business : Aras 1, Canseleri,
Universiti Malaya, Lembah Pantai,
50603 Kuala Lumpur.

The financial statements were authorised for issue by the Board of Directors in accordance with a resolution of the
directors dated.

2. PrinciPal actiVitiEs
The Company is principally engaged in business as an investment and commercial arm of the University of Malaya. The
principal activities of the subsidiaries are set out in Note 6 to the financial statements. There have been no significant
changes in the nature of these activities during the financial year.

3. HOlDing EntitY
The holding entity is University of Malaya, a public higher educational institution established and incorporated in
Malaysia under the University of Malaya Act 1961 (which is now deemed as established and incorporated under the
Universities and University Colleges Act 1971).

4. Basis OF PrEParatiOn
The financial statements of the Group are prepared under the historical cost convention and modified to include other
bases of valuation as disclosed in other sections under significant accounting policies, and in compliance with Malaysian
Private Entities Reporting Standard (“MPERS”) and the requirements of the Companies Act 2016 in Malaysia.
