BSGF6309 BUILDING PERFORMANCE & ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT
4 Credits Introduction to various types of building assessment methods; understanding material behaviour due to
mechanical, biological, chemical and environmental agents; deterioration on modern and traditional materials.
This course is taught by experts and researchers associated with the built environment and explore sustainable
issues at an advanced level. It provides students with the knowledge, skills and tools to be able to evaluate and
advise on the creation of sustainable buildings as well as evaluate the environmental impacts of their decisions.
At the end of this course, students are able to:
1. Identify various methods of implementation in energy audit.
2. Evaluate green building principles and practices
3. Integrate professional skills in achieving sustainable environmental management system.
