Learning At the end of this course, students are able to:
Outcomes
1. identify the concepts of sustainable development;
2. explain the relationship between development and the environment; and
3. evaluate relevant management strategies to solve the problems of sustainable
development.
Synopsis This course presents the concepts and issues of sustainable development. It focuses on
the relationship between economic development and its impact on the environment as well
as on management strategies for sustainable development. Aspects of environmental
management in Malaysia to ensuring sustainable development is also discussed.
