Kursus ini memperkenalkan pelajar kepada bidang sintaksis dan morfologi. Pelajar
dibekalkan dengan alat-alat asas untuk menganalisa struktur perkataan dan ayat
dalam Bahasa Inggeris. Pelajar juga dilatih menilai kekompeksan struktur perkataan
dan ayat dalam konteks-konteks penggunaan sebenar. Pada akhir kursus, pelajar
dikehendaki menghasilkan satu laporan penyelidikan kecil mengenai proses
sintaksis dan morfologi dalam konteks-konteks penggunaan berlainan dalam
Bahasa Inggeris.
This course introduces students to the field of syntax and morphology. The students
are provided with basic tools to analyse the structure of words and sentences in
English. Students are also trained to evaluate the structural complexity of words and
sentences in authentic contexts of use. At the end of the course, students are
expected to produce a mini-research report on syntactic and morphological
processes found in different contexts of use in the English language.
