Which year do you participate in ASEP?
ASEP 2016 Japan - "Biodiversity - Wisdom"
How participation in ASEP changed your perspective on environmental sustainability?
Participating in ASEP has profoundly transformed my understanding and approach to
environmental sustainability. Before joining, I was aware of the importance of protecting
our environment, but my knowledge was somewhat superficial. Through this program, I
have gained a deeper appreciation for the intricate balance of our ecosystems and the
urgent need for sustainable practices.
One of the most significant changes in my perspective is recognizing the impact of
individual actions. The program has shown me that small, consistent efforts, such as
reducing waste, conserving water, and supporting renewable energy, collectively make a
substantial difference. I have also learned the importance of community involvement and
how collaborative efforts can lead to more significant, long-lasting environmental benefits.
Moreover, the program has equipped me with practical skills and knowledge to advocate
for sustainability in my life and has inspired me to be more proactive in promoting
environmental awareness and to support policies and initiatives that aim to protect our
planet for future generations.
Overall, this experience has not only heightened my awareness but also empowered me to
take meaningful actions towards a more sustainable future.
In what ways do you believe the project has had a lasting effect on environmental
awareness or future sustainability initiatives?
In my opinion, the program can be conclude in 4 main point:
1. Increased Awareness: By educating participants about environmental issues, the project
has likely heightened awareness and understanding of sustainability among its members
and the broader community.
2. Behavioral Changes: Participants may adopt more sustainable practices in their daily
lives, such as reducing waste, conserving energy, supporting eco-friendly products and
preserve the biodiversity.
3. Community Engagement: The project may have fostered a sense of community and
collective responsibility, encouraging more people to get involved in local environmental
initiatives.
4. Policy Advocacy: Equipped with knowledge and experience, participants might advocate
for stronger environmental policies and support initiatives that promote sustainability at
local, or national
