Industry 4.0, the fourth industrial revolution, has attracted much attention in the
country and often related with the Internet of Things (IoT), next generation
embedded intelligent Information and Communications Technology (ICT),
Enterprise Architecture and Artificial Intelligent Integration. However if we go
back to the first principle, the dynamic nature of the research on Industry 4.0
could not be detached from fundamental and applied science. Many of our
researches have proven track record, with worldwide recognition and received

international funding. It is the time that we have to think out of the box, to relate
research output to industry needs or even breakthrough.

In any industry based research, we can contribute not only the knowledge and
technologies; while meeting the demands of industrial partners for growth in
capital and production, our approach based on fundamental science and closed
loop design would simultaneously ensuring a sustainable evolvement of
technologies co-existence with a clean environment and healthy society. Therefore
we invite industries to talk to us, as we have much to offer and often can go beyond
expectation.
