                Learning Outcomes         At the end of the course, students are able to:
                                          1.   Analyze critically contemporary issues affecting the exercise and fitness industry
                                          2.   Evaluate contemporary issues affecting the exercise and fitness industry in decision-
                                             making process
                                          3.   Apply  professional  etiquette  aspects  while  nurturing  and  projecting  professional
                                             image
                Synopsis of Course Contents   This course is about preparing the students for the profession. The syllabus combined
                                          both theory and practice through interactions with invited key scholars and speakers and
                                          professionals from the field of exercise science. One of the intended outcomes of the class
                                          in for the students to be able to appraise current issues affecting the industry globally and
                                          engage in an intellectual discussion. Also the students are expected to display the ability
                                          to articulate their ideas clearly through presentations and discourse.

                Learning Outcomes         At the end of the course, students are able to:
                                          1.   Compare and contrast the concepts associated with sport, recreation, community
                                              sports and recreation management.
                                          2.   Analyse in writing a comprehensive report of outdoor recreation fieldtrip visit to the
                                              Sports  agency,  stadium  and  to  sport-related  industry  setting  within  which  the
                                              management of Sports operates.
                                          3.   Differentiate  the  responsibility  of  Sports  and  recreation manager  as compared  to
                                              Sports and recreation leaders particularly in the aspects of planning and control.
                Synopsis of Course Contents   Students will be introduced to basic concepts of sports, recreation, community sports and
                                          recreation management. This course will also identify the characteristics of community
                                          sports,  recreational  leadership  and  explain  the  procedures  of  recreation  activities.
                                          Students will be required to prepare a comprehensive report of their visits to selected
                                          sports organisations. There will also be discussions on the role of recreation managers
                                          and the aspect of planning and control in recreation activities.
