Synopsis of Course Contents This course will expose students to the theory and in practice of a number of psychological
skills training or PST techniques that are relevant for addressing the performance of

Course Title MEASUREMENT AND DATA ACQUISITION IN SPORT

Learning Outcomes At the end of the course, students are able to:
1. Evaluate the principles and techniques of testing and measurement for physical
fitness and Sports skills.
2. Recommend proposals for conducting testing and measurement.
3. Design methods of data collection and analysis.
4. Compare the data acquisition in Sports qualitatively and quantitatively.
Synopsis of Course Contents The course discusses the concept, principles and techniques for the test and
measurement of various components of fitness and skills in sports. Measurements were
conducted to assess the cognitive and affective evaluation in sport, designing
measurement instruments, administration and evaluation in the laboratory and outside the
controlled laboratory practical. Quantitative data analysis will be conducted by using
applied statistics. Qualitative data analysis will be conducted on movements in sport.
