               objectives, identifying expected learning and professional development outcomes, and
               ensuring that the national workforce needs are met.

               METHODOLOGY
               This is a quantitative research, using a descriptive research design and survey research
               technique. The survey utilized Google Form and was shared through a social media
               network in the Malaysian Library Media Teachers and Malaysian Librarians Facebook
               group from April till May 2019.

               RESULTS AND DATA ANALYSIS
               It received 145 responses out of which 109 (78.4%) were Library Media Teachers, 18
               (12.9%) Librarians, 2 (1.4%) Educational Technology Officers and 16 (11.03%) Others
               such as subject teachers, assistant librarians and LIS students.

               As shown in Table 1, there were four age groups.  24 respondents were from the 20-29
               age group, 57 from the 30-39 age group, 49 from the 40-49 age group, 14 from the 50-
               60 age group and one respondent did not state his or her age, as shown in Table 1. The
               age group between 20 to 49 years old had the highest number of respondents who were
               keen to further their professional development and enhance their qualifications.

               Among the respondents, there were 114 (79%) with a bachelor’s degrees, 23 (16%) a
               master’s, 5 (3.5%) with diplomas and 2 (1.37%) had Teaching certificates. The majority
               of the respondents (106, 73.6%) majored in areas related to Education. This indicates
               that the respondents were teachers without librarianship qualifications. They are keen
               to further explore the opportunities to acquiring knowledge in librarianship.

               The survey indicates that more than 67 (47.2%) of the respondents were teaching in
