SQE7001 Research Methodology in Sustainability Science
This course will provide guidance on how STI issues in sustainable development can be meaningfully
researched from a sustainability science approach. Students will be exposed to a range of
introduction to a range of quantitative and qualitative methods that can be used for this purpose.
The course will also highlight methodological particularities of sustainability science – especially its
inter-disciplinary, trans-disciplinary, value-laden, and solution/action-oriented character.

SQE7002 Research Project
(Pre-requisite SQE7001)
This course requires students to conduct a research project in the field of sustainability science in
connected with economy, social and environment under the supervision of a lecturer. Students are
required to present their research proposal at the end of the first semester. Students will complete
their project at the end of second semesters and a written report will be submitted for examination.
Students will present their findings in a seminar organised by the department.
