SQE7007 Philosophy of Sustainability Science
The course deals with various philosophical thoughts and its relevance and application to research
activities in Sustainability Science. Among topics that will be discussed are: History of Sustainability
Thoughts and Ideas; Sustainability or Sustainable Development; Principles of Sustainability;
Environmental Worldview and Sustainability; Human, Sustainable Society and Civilization; and Role
of Values in Sustainability.

SQE7008 Socio-Legal of Sustainability Science
This course provides students with concept and relevance of socio-legal approach in sustainability
science. Based on various case studies, students will learn the skills and ability in understanding the
social reality and law practiced in the context of sustainable development in developing countries.
