               SQE7003 Science and Technology in Sustainable Development

               This course is designed to introduce students to multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary aspects of S&T
               Studies and its importance for achieving sustainable development. Students are also introduced to
               the concept of Sustainable Development Goals which is based on the holistic development of social,
               economic and environment. At the end of the course, students should be able to use this knowledge
               to  create  a  combination  of  contextual  understanding  in  the  development  of  S&T  to  achieve
               sustainability.

               Assessment Methods:

               Final Examination 40%

               SQE7004 Selected Issues in Sustainability Science

               This  course  is  designed  to  provide  students  with  detailed  study  on  various  sustainability  science
               issues.  Students  will  be  exposed  to  the  implications  of  new  technologies  on  society  as  well  as
               professional issues in science, technology and sustainable development. Issues that will be discussed
               in  the  course  are  related  to  the  development  of  S&T  to  economic,  social  and  environmental
               development, which are emphasised in the Sustainable Development Goals. The impacts of global
               environmental, economic and social change will also be discussed in this course.
