classroom in order to improve in their personal, social,
ethical, and academic domains. In light of this, the
Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences has made the
AIX1005 Community Building, Social Action and
Innovation module compulsory for all first-year students.

Recently, 15 first-year students from the Indian Studies
Department, under the supervision of lecturer Dr.
Ravindaran S/O Maraya, successfully completed the
module. This included fulfilling the requirement to
organise beneficial community events for Universiti Herbal Planting at Universiti Malaya's Sivan Temple
Malaya students and members of the general public.

The students hosted several community-building events,
featuring herb planting, film direction techniques, how to
be a winning KABADDI player, and the effectiveness of
learning sithar worship, as well as a Canva Workshop,
Woman Empowerment Forum, and an ‘Anybody Can
    Dance’ event.

Four of these activities were held in person, while the
remaining three were held virtually. The participants
responded positively to these activities and the
programme was officially concluded with the motto Sports workshop: "Learn Kabaddi With Us" taught by 4th year
“#LetsMoveOn”. Computer Science students, Coach Siva And Coach Thanes
