           3.10 SECURITY, AUDIT AND ICT TRAINING DIVISION (BKAL)

           3.10.1 Background

           Security, Audit & ICT Training Division was established from July 2011 to replace the two previous
           divisions which were the Planning and Research Computing Division (BPPP) and Security, Training &
           Quality Control Division (BKLKK). The purpose of the merger and the restructuring is to ensure that the
           activities  to  be  undertaken  are  more  focused  and  help  PTM  increase  value-added  activities  in  the
           future.

           •  ICT Security and Audit

           Policy development and implementation procedures (ICT Security Framework) are to help protect the
           security of ICT resources and UM institutional data covering research, teaching, from any subversive
           activities.

           •  ICT acculturation for UM community

           ICT acculturation through training and awareness activities to encourage staffs to use ICT creatively for
           teaching, learning, research and service purposes.

           •  Application Audit

           To establish standards and best practices for application development process to be complied by the
           PTM application developers team to ensure the maintenance process can be implemented more cost-
           effectively continuity for UM system applications operations in the future.

           To execute system testing activities to ensure that the system developed is bug-free and comply with
           process cycle stipulated and ensure UM system applications continuity in the future. To implement
           system  testing  activities  to  ensure  the  system  developed  is  free  from  error  and  comply  with  the
           process cycle stipulated.
