and

(ii) possesses any one of the following qualifications:

(A) a pass in the Matriculation Programme of the
Ministry of Education (MoE)/UM Foundation
Studies in Science/Ministry of Higher Education
Foundation in Law (MoHE)/UiTM Foundation
Studies (except Foundation in Law) with a minimum
CGPA of 2.00;

(B) a diploma or any other qualifications recognised as
equivalent by the Government of Malaysia and
approved by the Senate of the University;

(C) pass the Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM)
with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and obtain at least:
(aa) Grade C (Subject Grade Point 2.00) in the
subject of Pengajian Am, and

(bb) Grade C (Subject Grade Point 2.00) in two
other subjects;

or

(D) pass with at least the Jayyid level at the Sijil Tinggi
Agama Malaysia (STAM);

and

(iii) achieve a minimum of Band 1 in the Malaysian University
English Test (MUET).

(b) A candidate who is not a Malaysian citizen who wishes to pursue
a programme of study at the University of Malaya must have
completed and passed a minimum of twelve years (12) of study
and possess the following qualifications:

(i) a pass with at least a Grade B (based on the marking
scheme of Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM)/A-Level)
in the relevant subjects at A-level standard or its
equivalent; or

(ii) a minimum CGPA of 3.00 in the relevant subjects at
diploma level that is recognised by the University;
