(j) A student is responsible to check and ensure that the course code
that is registered for is correct. At the end of the prescribed period,
the courses that are registered is final and no further changes are
allowed.
(k) A student shall register for courses based on the structure of his
programme of study. Registration for courses other than those
prescribed in the said structure shall not be considered for the
purposes of fulfillment of the degree requirements.
(l) Maximum credit
(i) a new student is limited to take not more than 18 credits in
the beginning semester of his programme of study unless
otherwise approved by the Senate.
(ii) The maximum number of credits that can be taken by a
student after the beginning semester of his programme of
study is 20 credits in the Normal Semester and 10 credits
in the Special Semester. The number of credits does not
include credits for the audit courses.
(iii) A student may officially apply to register for more than 20
credits in a Normal Semester in the following manner:
Stage of Total Credits
Programme of Study
Middle Stage 22 credits
Final Stage 25 credits
(iv) Notwithstanding anything stated in paragraph (iii) above,
the Dean of the Faculty of the programme of study may
consider and approve an application to register for extra
credits subject to the student:
(A) not being under an academic probationary period in
the semester concerned; and
(B) having a CGPA of not lower than 3.00 for the
previous semester before the registration
concerned.
(m) Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph (l) above, the
maximum number of credits that can be registered by a student
in each academic session are as follows:
(i) 50 credits for registration for courses that do not include
Industrial Training.
