(v) has not been convicted of any disciplinary action; and
(vi) obtained the recommendation from the Dean of the Faculty
of the initial programme of study and the agreement of the
Dean of the Faculty that will be accepting the student
concerned.
(d) A student that is approved for a change of programme of study
will register the new programme of study in the subsequent
Academic Session.
(4) Attendance in Class
(a) A student is required to attend all classes and undergo all
teaching and learning activities. A student who does not attend
any of the classes must inform the reasons for his absence to the
teacher immediately together with relevant supporting
documents.
(b) A teacher is responsible to record the attendance of students for
each teaching and learning activity.
(5) Termination of Programme of Study
(a) On medical reasons
A student whose withdrawal from a semester has been approved
for medical reasons for two consecutive Normal Semesters can
be terminated from his programme of study upon the
recommendation of a Registered Medical Practitioner from the
University Student Health Clinic/Government Hospital/ University
of Malaya Medical Centre/Private Medical Centre after the
student’s case has been reviewed again by the Registered
Medical Practitioner concerned in the following semester.
(b) On medical psychology reasons
A student whose withdrawal from a semester has been approved
on medical psychology reasons and did not sit for the final
examinations for four Normal Semesters and two Special
Semesters consecutively can be terminated from the programme
of study upon the recommendation of the Clinical Psychology
Specialist/Registered Psychiatry Specialist concerned.
