(ii)   52 credits for registration for courses that include Industrial
                                            Training.

                                      (n)    In  a  semester  where  a  student  is  placed  under  an  Academic
                                     Probationary  Period  in  accordance  with  Regulation  5(5)(f)  of
                                     these  Regulations,  the  student  concerned  is  not  allowed  to
                                     register for more than 12 credits for the Normal Semester and 6
                                     credits for the Special Semester.  The application to register for
                                     more credits must be submitted officially for the consideration and
                                     approval of the Dean of the Faculty of his programme of study.

                                      (o)    Notwithstanding anything prescribed under paragraph (n) above,
                                     the  maximum  number  of  credits  that  can  be  applied  for  by  a
                                     student must not exceed 15 credits for the Normal Semester and
                                     9 credits for the Special Semester.

                              (p)    Application to register for extra credits must be made at the latest
                                     by the end of the first lecture week of the semester concerned.

                              (q)    Notwithstanding  anything  that  is  stated  under  subregulations
                                     (2)(d),(e),(f),(g),(h),(l) and (o) above, in certain circumstances, the
                                     Deputy Vice-Chancellor can make a decision otherwise.

                       (3)    Change of Programme of Study

                              (a)    A student who has registered for a programme of study that was
                                     offered is not allowed to change his programme of study.

                              (b)    Notwithstanding  anything  stated  in  paragraph  (a)  above,  in
                                     certain circumstances a  student can apply for a change in the
                                     programme of study to the Deputy Vice Chancellor concerned at
                                     the latest by the second lecture week of the second semester of
                                     his study.

                              (c)    Consideration for the application for a change of programme of
                                     study is subject to the following conditions:

                                     (i)    allowed for a first year student only who have undergone
                                            at least one semester of study;

                                     (ii)   fulfilled  the  special  admission  requirements  of  the  new
                                            programme of study that is applied for and other conditions
                                            as prescribed by the University;

                                     (iii)   there is availability for the applied programme;

                                     (iv)   application is allowed only once throughout the duration of
                                            his study at the University;
