(ii)  The Deputy Dean responsible for first degree;

                                       (iii)  The Head of Department concerned;

                                       (iv)  The Programme Co-ordinator concerned; and

                                       (v)  Academic staff appointed by the Faculty.

                            (b)      Where the Dean of the Faculty is unable to discharge his duties
                                     as Chairman of the Faculty Appeals Committee, the Deputy Dean
                                     responsible for First Degree programme shall carry out the duties
                                     of the Dean of the Faculty as Chairman of the Faculty Appeals
                                     Committee.

                            (c)      The quorum for a meeting of the Faculty Appeals Committee shall
                                     comprise of the Chairman and two other members.

               7.      GRADUATION

                       (1)    Requirements for Graduation

                              (a)    General requirements

                                     A student must fulfill the following requirements for the purposes
                                     of graduation:

                                     (i)    The University Course requirements;

                                     (ii)   The Core Course requirements; and

                                     (iii)   The Elective/Minor Course requirements.

                              (b)    Minimum credits requirements

                                     (i)    The total credits required for the purpose of graduation is
                                            at  least  two  thirds  from  the  total  overall  credits  for  the
                                            programme  of  study  and  must  be  obtained  through
                                            courses conducted by the University except professional
                                            programmes  which  are  administered  by  the  relevant
                                            professional bodies.

                                     (ii)   The  above  requirements  may  be  waived  where  the
                                            University  has  special  arrangements  with  another
                                            university  or  institution,  for  example  under  a  letter  of
                                            understanding  or  memorandum  of  understanding  with
                                            regard to the admission of students from that institution to
                                            the University to continue with his programme of study.
