(b) An appeal for the extension of duration of study will only be
considered once by the Faculty Appeals Committee. The
maximum extension of duration of study shall be given for two
Normal Semesters and one Special Semester.
(c) Notwithstanding anything stated in paragraph (b) above, under
certain circumstances, the Faculty Appeals Committee can
recommend the appeal for the extension of duration of study more
than once and/or appeal to the duration exceeding the prescribed
limit for consideration by the University Appeals Committee.
(d) The result of the appeal shall be communicated to the student by
the Dean of the Faculty of his programme of study and this
decision is final.
(3) Appeal to Continue With Programme of Study
(a) Lapsed and terminated from study
(i) A student whose academic status is recorded as Lapsed
and is terminated from his study pursuant to Regulation
3(2)(e) may submit an appeal to the Dean of the Faculty of
the programme of study to continue his study.
(ii) The appeal must be submitted by the student within two
semesters from the semester in which his academic status
is recorded as Lapsed and his study terminated.
(iii) The Faculty Appeals Committee shall consider the appeal
by the student. The student shall be informed the result of
the appeal by the Dean of the Faculty of the programme of
study.
(b) Failed and terminated from study
A student who failed and is terminated from his study in
accordance with regulation 5(5)(g) may submit an appeal to the
Dean of Faculty of the programme of study to continue his study.
The appeal must be submitted by the student within the period of
one semester from the semester in which his academic status
was terminated as follows:
(i) Fail and terminated from his study due to academic
performance
(A) An appeal by a student who failed and is terminated
from his study in accordance to regulation
