5(5)(g)(i)(A) to (D) shall be considered by the
Faculty Appeals Committee.
(B) An appeal that is recommended by the Faculty
Appeals Committee shall be submitted for
consideration by the University Appeals Committee
that is formed by the Senate.
(C) An appeal for readmission will only be considered
once by the University Appeals Committee.
(D) The result of an appeal shall be communicated to
the student by the Chairman of the University
Appeals Committee and this decision is final.
(ii) Failed and terminated from study due to expiry of duration
of study
(A) An appeal from a student who has failed and is
terminated from his study in accordance to
regulation 5(5)(g)(i)(E) shall be considered by the
Faculty Appeals Committee.
(B) The maximum period that can be given by the
Faculty Appeals Committee is two Normal
Semesters and one Special Semester.
(C) An appeal for readmission will only be considered
once by the University Appeals Committee.
(D) Notwithstanding anything stated in paragraphs (B)
and (C) above, in certain circumstances the Faculty
Appeals Committee may recommend the appeal for
the extension of duration of study more than once
and/or appeal extension of duration exceeding the
prescribed limit for consideration by the University
Appeals Committee.
(E) The result of an appeal shall be communicated to
the student by the Dean of the faculty of the
programme of study and this decision is final.
(4) Membership of Faculty Appeals Committee
(a) For the purposes of the Faculty Appeals Committee stated
under subregulation (1), (2) and (3) above, the membership
shall be as follows:
(i) The Dean of the Faculty as Chairman;
