                           EFFECTIVE TEACHING MODEL                                                 CREDITS

            Sinopsis/Synopsis

            Kursus  ini  bertujuan  membina  pemikiran  pelajar  secara  analitis  terhadap  model  dan  pendekatan
            pengajaran  berkesan.    Tumpuan  perbincangan  termasuklah  teori  dan  model  pengajaran,  ciri-ciri
            pengajaran  berkesan  dari  aspek  dalaman  dan  luaran,  pengurusan  bilik  darjah  berkesan,  kurikulum
            tersembunyi,  dan  pengajaran  berkesan  untuk  mode  pembelajaran  yang  lain  (spt.  Pembelajaran
            Berasaskan  Internet  dll).  Pelajar  dilatih  menganalisis  amalan  pengajaran  termasuklah  iklim,  logistik,
            bahan  pengajaran  dan  lain-lain  bagi  menentukan  faktor  penyumbang  atau  penghalang  pengajaran
            berkesan dalam bidang masing-masing.

            This course is aimed at developing students’ analytical thinking towards selected model and approaches of effective
            teaching. The major part of the course will embark on  analysis of different models of effective teaching as practised
            in  several  countries.      Focus  of  discussions  include  theories  and  models  of  teaching,  characteristics  of  effective
            teaching, factors influencing effective teaching, effective classroom management, hidden curriculum, and effective
            teaching  for  other  learning  modes  (Internet-based  learning,  computer-assisted  learning,  web-based  learning  etc).
            Students are trained to analyze teaching practices including climate, logistic, teaching materials etc. so as to identify
            the contributory and obstructive factors of effective teaching in each student specialization.
