            Sinopsis/Synopsis

            pengkhususan pelajar.

This course develops students’ critical, creative and analytical thinking skills towards various cognitive theories and
learning models. How these theories and models can be a base to understand and accommodate students with
different learning abilities will be dealt with. Focal topics of the course include theories of cognition, developmental
processes, approaches and learning models which cover early behaviourist conditioning and cognitive theories,
information processing models, constructivist theories till the present brain-based and neurocognitive theories. In
relation to all these theories and models, complex-cognitive skills, representation and organization of knowledge,
issues related to critical thinking, creative thinking and theoretical frameworksfor research will also be discussed. This
course will emphasize applications of these theories and models in relation to students’ specific orientations and
            specializations.
